Types of support work
Here are some of the support services we offer
Personal care
Showering, toileting and mealtime assistance at home or in the community.
Education and employment
Coaching and mentoring to help participants achieve goals at school, college or work.
In-home care
Morning and evening routines, medical prompts, and meal preparation.
Community access
Getting out, taking a class, exercising, volunteering or going to gatherings.
Transport
Getting from A to B, using your car, the participant's car or public transport.
Group & social activities
Supporting people to connect with their community and follow their passions.
Certifications and checks
As employees of Support Your Way, all support workers go through comprehensive checks before being approved to provide support in our community. Before you start work with us, you will need to obtain these certifications and checks:
- National Police Clearance
- CPR and/or First Aid Certificate
- Manual Handling Training
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- DHS Working with Children's Clearance
- 100 points of ID
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

Support worker pay rates
Effective 11 July 2026. We provide the best rates possible not only for our participants, but for our support workers as well.

| Weekday evening (8pm–12am) | $38.72 – $48.40 |
| Weekday night (12am–6am) | $39.40 – $49.27 |
| Saturday (all day) | $49.21 – $61.20 |
| Sunday (all day) | $63.27 – $78.80 |
| Public holiday (all day) | $77.33 – $96.32 |
| Night-time sleepover (8 hour block) | $135.00 – $160.00 |
| Transport per kilometre | $1.05 |
Rates are per hour and applicable to support workers in the Melbourne (Victoria) and Adelaide (South Australia) areas.
